Trans Lux Rent a Car is a family-owned car rental company based in Montenegro, operating since 2014. We specialise in transparent pricing, well-maintained vehicles and a no-deposit policy on most of our fleet. Our team speaks English, Russian and Montenegrin (native), and we know the country and its borders inside-out.
We currently operate a fleet of 100+ vehicles, and offer cross-border travel to all neighbouring countries (Croatia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Serbia, Albania, Kosovo, North Macedonia) as well as longer EU trips on request.

All rentals include Basic CDW (Collision Damage Waiver) and Theft Protection (TP) with a deductible. Optional Partial and Full coverage packages reduce or eliminate the deductible.
Damage to tyres, windshield, undercarriage and interior is covered only by the Full package.
Free cancellation up to 48 hours before pickup. Cancellations within 48 hours are charged 1 day of rental. No-shows are charged in full.
If cancellation is due to flight cancellation or visa rejection, a full refund is granted upon proof.
Most cars are available with no deposit. Premium and convertible categories may require a refundable deposit of 200–500€.
We accept cash (EUR) and all major credit and debit cards on pickup. Online prepayment is optional.
Minimum age 21 years with at least 2 years of driving experience. A valid driving licence and passport / ID are required at pickup.
Additional drivers can be added free of charge.
Cross-border travel is permitted to neighbouring countries with prior written approval. A flat 20€/day fee applies per day spent abroad.
Far countries (EU outside the Balkans) require a minimum rental of 7 days and a custom quote.
Cars are delivered with a full tank and must be returned full. Refuelling fee applies for missing fuel plus the cost of fuel.
Mileage is unlimited within Montenegro and approved cross-border destinations.
